Mumbai, 20th August 2020: Social Activist Mr. Rohan Gaikwad, in association with My Home India organized an event in Thane for Safeguarding the Frontline Heroes. They distributed COVID-19 Safety kit to all the Policemen Officials in Thane for shielding them during Ganesh Chaturthi. The event was attended by Police Officials DCP Shri S. S. Burse & ACP Shri Sunil Ghosalkar with their respective teams. The work of a Policeman is never the same as other people. They have to stand during heavy rains, lockdowns, festivals, etc. Police personnel works for 14 hours a day, with about 80% of police personnel working for more than 8 hours a day. Police would have to boost up the security as the Ganesh festival begins during the pandemic.
In this pandemic, amongst
all categories of frontline workers who are risking their health and lives,
police personnel is the most critical. The Police officers from across the
country are away from their families and homes to enforce the prohibitory
lockdown order and save other families from the infection. The phenomenon took
place at Kalva police station conference hall at 11:30 am on Thursday, 20th
August 2020. The Kits to all Police in Zone 1 Thane was hand out concerning
each police officer. The kits carried a sanitizer spray bottle, a pair of
goggles, hand gloves, Masks treated with antiviral coatings and Dolo 650
The idea is to help the Police, who are front-ending Coronavirus, right from the lockdown to date. They've been under constant threat with little to no protection whatsoever. Rohan Gaikwad, a Global leader in Cyber forensic, wants to safeguard our heroes. With the help of My Home India NGO, he wants to ensure that all policemen in Thane (1000+) receive the kit for their protection. "Especially in the time of Ganesh Chaturthi. We must ensure they're safe," he said.
