Mumbai, India, August 2020: When it comes to keeping young viewers around the world entertained, Shemaroo Entertainment Limited, India’s leading content powerhouse, has found immense success with an array of popular titles. Bringing another reason to cheer for their young viewers, Shemaroo announced that the company has acquired the worldwide rights to the animated movie, Captain Vidyut from Parijat Animation Studio.
The movie traces the adventures of Vidyut Kumar, an ordinary person who suddenly becomes a superhero with extraordinary powers and his battle with his nemesis, the evil scientist Dhaksola who relentlessly seeks to rule the world. Directed by Atish Tripathi and voiced by Raghuveer Yadav, Namit Das, Suresh Menon and Trisha Kale, the movie is one that will keep the entire family hooked with its adventurous storyline.
Speaking on the acquisition, Ms. Smita Maroo, Senior Vice President, Animation, Licensing & Merchandising, Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd., said, “Shemaroo is one of the leading players in the Indian animation industry today.
