OPPO India has launched the Reno12 series. This is the company's first step towards expanding the availability of AI phones in the country. The Reno12 series is "your everyday companion". It comes with features like AI Eraser 2.0, AI Clear Face, and Smart Image Matting 2.0 to deliver stunning and entertaining photos without any complex image editing. The device comes with an AI Toolbox powered by Google Gemini LLM. The Toolbox includes AI Writer, AI Summary, AI Speak, etc. to enhance everyday productivity.

The Reno12 Pro 5G will be available in two variants. Its 12GB + 256GB variant will be available for Rs. 36,999 and the 12GB + 512GB variant will be available for Rs. 40,999. The Reno12 5G will be priced at Rs. 32,999 and it will come in a variant of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Reno12 Pro 5G will go on sale in India on July 18 and the Reno12 5G will be available from July 25 on OPPO e-Store , Flipkart , and all mainline retail outlets.

Stylish and durable design
The Reno12 Pro has a unique quad-micro curved Infinite View screen with a 43-degree curve, so the bezels are very thin at just 1.69mm, and the screen-to-body ratio is just 93.5 percent. Both these devices feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth browsing and scrolling. With a peak brightness of 1200 nits, the screen is clearly visible even in bright sunlight.
The handset features a 10-bit panel that outputs 1.07 billion colours to produce high dynamic range (HDR) images. It also features subtle colour gradations for vibrant and beautiful pictures.
The Reno12 Pro 5G will be available in Sunset Gold and Space Brown. It has a Panda Glass back with dual texture. Its upper half has smudge resistant anti-glare technology, while the bottom glossy part has a smooth ribbon with OPPO branding on it.
The Reno12 5G features a Gorilla Glass 7i display. It comes in Sunset Peach, Matte Brown, and Astro Silver colours. Sunset Peach uses a graphic liquid crystal process for a fresh look. The Astro Silver colour uses OPPO's Fluid Ripple texture to create the reflection of liquid on a smooth surface, while Matte Brown has a rich cocoa hue with a fingerprint-resistant finish.
For durability, the Reno12 series features an aerospace grade high-strength alloy framework that prevents it from bending. OPPO's sponge-inspired All-Rounder Armor Protection protects these smartphones from drops and bumps. Both these devices come with SGS certification for their durability.
The Reno12 Pro is tested by SGS for Premium Performance 5 Stars Multi-Scene Protection, which includes various tests like water and impact protection. The Reno12, on the other hand, comes with SGS Performance 5 Stars Multi-Scene Performance certification, which includes tests for low blue light emission and flicker-free screen to reduce eye fatigue. Both these devices come with IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. The speakers, USB-C port, and SIM card tray are water-sealed.
OPPO 's AI camera
The triple camera setup on the Reno12Pro includes a 50MP main camera (Sony Lite-600 sensor with OIS), a 50MP telephoto camera (Samsung JN5 sensor) with 2x portrait zoom and up to 20x digital zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera (Sony IMX355 sensor) with 112-degree field of view (FOV). For selfies, the Reno12 Pro features a 50MP JN5 sensor with auto focus and 90-degree FOV.
The Reno12 replaces the Pro's telephoto with a 2MP OV02B10 macro camera that can take great shots from just 4cm away, and for front-facing selfies, there's a 32MP GC32E2 sensor.

OPPO AI Eraser 2.0 is a one-click feature that removes unwanted objects in the background, such as trash cans, lamp posts, or photo bombers, using AI trained on millions of images for 98 percent accuracy.
AI Best Face recognizes faces and expressions to create a final snapshot in which everyone looks their best; it even uncovers closed eyes for the perfect group shot.
AI Clear Face uses machine learning to beautify portraits. It removes blemishes and preserves the natural beauty and features of the face. It also adjusts facial contours, such as cheek bones and jaw line.
