Chennai, 3 July 2020: Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai is pleased to announce the keynote speakers for their annual Successful Women in Management (SWIM) series, which will take place online this year.
SWIM showcases and felicitates successful women who have reached the peak of corporate management and serve as inspiration for others. Held every year since 2007, SWIM has hosted reputed leaders, entrepreneurs and academics who have shared their experiences, struggles and advice with the students at Great Lakes.
This year, SWIM will see Indra Nooyi, former Chairman and CEO, PepsiCo, addressing the students, as a part of Great Lakes’ Founder's Day celebrations, on Sunday, July 5. This will be followed by a session with Preetha Reddy, Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospital Enterprise Limited on July 15. The final session will be held on Wednesday, July 29, and will have Dr Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairman and Managing Director of Biocon Limited, as the keynote speaker.
This year’s SWIM is part of Great Lakes’ Term Zero initiative for incoming students, which has seen a number of distinguished speakers and academics conducting sessions on entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership, among other subjects. SWIM, in particular, aims to felicitate women in management and inspire the female students who make up 35% of the total student population at Great Lakes. The SWIM series also identifies and honours talent among such woman leaders every year.
Term Zero continues until July 30.
