Musician Pousali Banerjee releases her Debut Bengali Original Music – ‘Phire Ashar Gaan’

Popular folk singer Pousali Banerjee who rose to fame through Zee Saregamapa and her performances of Rabindrasangeet and Bengali traditional folk releases her first Original Bengali Music Video ‘Phire Ashar Gaan’

From 25th March 2020 onwards India went into a nationwide lockdown due to Covid-19 pandemic and since then mass gathering restrictions on all cultural activities were prohibited, including music performances nationwide. Now six months later, from 1st October onwards, the Government of India has allowed musical concerts, gatherings etc. with a limitation of 100 people in a socially distanced environment. Therefore, a lot of musicians across the country will breathe an air of relief and return to their passion and profession.

The lively music video, ‘Phire Ashar Gaan’ is a celebration of the return of musicians to their stage where they will again get to again interact with their audience and fans.

Pousali, who has voiced this melodious song went on to say: “I am a stage artist who loves performing in front of the audience and listening to their cheers. I’m glad the Government has allowed stage performances again with certain measures. My new song ‘Phire Ashar Gaan’ is a celebration of the return of musicians to their stage. Since I am known for singing Folk music mainly, this is my contribution to the vast pool of Bengali Original Music”

The music video has been shot at beautiful locations of Chandanangar following the guidelines and SOP of Covid-19. Some of scenes from the song were shot impromptu like the scene where Pousali was seen playing with kids as the unit came across few kids playing on their way and decided to include it in their video.

Phire Ashar Gaan, sung by Pousali Banerjee has been penne and composed by Sainik Dey. The cinematography has been done by Shantanu & Supriyo & editing by Gaurav Gupta.

The song was released the YouTube channel of Pousali Banerjee to celebrate the opening of stage performances from 1st October 2020.
