When Raghav Juyal spent days with engineering students at the Banaras Hindu University to prepare for his role in Bahut Hua Samman

~Raghav Juyal reveals his experience of staying at Banaras Hindu University before the shooting for Bahut Hua Samman~

Raghav Juyal and Abhishek Chauhan who play engineers had a great time filming in the campus of Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi. The two young boys stayed at the campus for 4 days before they commenced shooting. Raghav’s experience of essaying an engineering student got him a few learnings and also gave a lifetime memory of the campus. 

Speaking about the campus experience as an engineer, Raghav recalls how he enjoyed gearing up for the role and says, “We had a great time while shooting, Abhishek and I had the privilege of staying in the campus for 4 days before we started the shoot. To understand our roles and to get in the skin of the character we spoke to the students, spent some great time with them talking about many things over chai and lassi. We played, we sang and had super fun. I realised Engineers learn the virtues of patience and loyalty to friends through the four years of college. Through this experience for Bahut Hua Samman, I was taken on an incredible journey of experiencing it first hand. I truly salute all the engineering students across the country who pull this feat off relentlessly and I am so glad I was given this role as Bony. It was an experience that I will never forget because not only was it relatable, but an adventure that I looked forward to every day on set.”

Featuring an ensemble cast of actors like  Sanjay Mishra, Abhishek Chauhan, Raghav Juyal, Nidhi Singh, Ram Kapoor and Namit Das in pivotal roles, the film is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar VIP. Khul Ke Zindagi Jiyo / ‘Live life to the fullest’  is the mantra of Sanjay Mishra’s  character from Bahut Hua Samman

Hotstar Specials latest movie Bahut Hua Samman is the slice of life, situational comedy that follows the life of Bony and Fundoo who agree to rob a bank since they are unable to find a job after failing their final year of engineering. Guided by an odd old man fondly known as Bakch*d Baba, their master-plan goes totally awry as they realize that the bank has already been robbed and they have been arrested for it. In an attempt to clear their name, they soon fight off assassins, seasoned robbers, elite politicians and religious gurus; all the while unravelling a larger scam. Sanjay Mishra, veteran actor who essays an integral role in the movie recently revealed the lessons he learned from his character in satirical comedy Bahut Hua Samman.

Sanjay Mishra the versatile actor who portrays the role of Bakch*d Baba, said, “It’s been a tremendous journey being a part of Bahut Hua Samman and working with such a talented cast and crew. As this character quite resembles my personality off-screen, it was fun yet intriguing to play. The one take away that I have from this character is living life to the fullest. I do believe in that philosophy but not as much as Bakch*d Baba. He not only follows it but also lives by it. Also, I especially loved working with such young talented actors like Raghav, Abhishek, Nidhi, Namit in the show, they bring such zeal and cheerfulness to the room, despite sacrificing on their brilliant performances.”
