February 2020, Mumbai:Sterling Reserve Music Project is a platform which intends to bring indie artists exposurewhile also bringing musical changes in the industry. Sterling Reserve Music Projectplatform was launched by Universal Music Group India.  Through this platform, Universal Music Group India is launching a new song called SecretSauce. The lyrics of the song and vocals have been sung by critically acclaimed artist – Monica Dogra.

Secret sauce is a song which primarily conveys the message about the courage, it takes to love someone while also devoting yourself to the moment entirely.The genre of the song is mainly Soca but it also has very diverse blend of influences drawing from Reggae, and Pop.While the other two genres are very well known, Soca music is a lesser known genre.It originates from Trinidad and Tobago while drawing influences from Latin, Funk, Soul and Cadence. This adds to uniqueness of the song. The entire production of the song was done very uniquely with international music producer Keshav contributing beats to the production of the song. Due to unique blend of various genre influences, the production of the song was done with very precise attention to detail to fit the feel of the song.Critically acclaimed and famous actor PrateikBabbar has appeared in the music video for the song.

Regarding the track Monica has stated, ‘’I firmly believe that a musician should not be restricted to a single genre. With every album/single, I intend to bring versatility to the table while also pushing the envelope. This song’s production was very unique. The lyrics, the song’s melody all of it was a very different experience for me. The main genre of the song, Soca music, is not that popular. With my new single, I intend to give this genre an exposure’’ Monica further added ‘’Music is something that people use to traverse and experience various moods in life. It becomes a part of one’s life. As a musician it is the greatest achievement one can have!’’

Monica Dogra, is an Indian Origin American singer who is known for her work in various artistic fields.
