Mumbai 2nd March 2020: The next generation of the legendary Sri Adhikari Brothers, Ravi and Kailash Adhikari are set to entertain the millennial audience with their first offering, a web feature film titled “Dheet Patangey”. Come March, Ravi Adhikari, is all set to launch his directorial debut with the web film which stars Shivin Narang (Beyhadh 2 and Khatron Ke Khiladi fame), critically acclaimed actor Chandan Roy Sanyal, Ali Murad and Hardik Sanghani in lead roles along with other star cast naming Tillotama Shome and Priya Banerjee who will be seen playing an important role. It will be available for exclusive viewing only on Hotstar from March 2nd, 2020.
Set against the backdrop of 1983 cricket World Cup, the movie is a slice of life film which follows four friends on a rollercoaster ride of self-discovery. Fearless and emotional, the story promises to strongly resonate with the unpredictability and resilience synonymous with youth across eras.
Talking about the film, Director Ravi Adhikari said, “‘Dheet Patangey’ is a wholesome take on ‘yaaron ki yaari’ and the nerve to face life head on. As a storyteller, I believe in creating relatable moments and narrate a story as a viewer would live it. Every friend is a mirror, an instigator and a comforter- all rolled in one and my film is an ode to this beautiful bond”
Opening up about the cast Adhikari said “I wanted a charming set of boys who could be vulnerable yet embody audacity and I am happy we could assemble the amazing band of Shivin, Chandan, Ali and Hardik. Each of them is different from the other as an actor yet they complement each other amazingly. I am sure the audience is going to identify them as one of their own ‘Dheet’ boys”
