Gerard Butler reveals the plot and the ‘new direction’ for the upcoming

Mumbai: The latest addition to the 'Has Fallen' series is only a couple of months away and Gerard Butler is already inviting fans with the movie's 'new direction'. PVR Pictures together with MVP Entertainment is bringing the action sequel starring Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman to India.
Despite the success of Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen, the makers felt the need to take the franchise in a new direction. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly Butler said "We could have just made Tokyo Has Fallen and people would have had a blast, but what else would we have been saying? I’m not just going to turn up; we had to take this in a new direction.”
"It’s the same man in the same position, but it’s a much deeper, darker journey. There’s still huge set pieces and we made sure not to disappoint the fans of the first two, but you’re really inside this character, watching him try to get his shit together. I feel like we’ve been brave in taking this new direction. If it pays off, then maybe we make a fourth. If it doesn’t, then hey, I had a blast."
While Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen had Secret Service Agent Mike Banning protect the President and other notable individuals, this time around he gets encircled for endeavoring to kill the President, and goes on the run forming alliance with his previous partners.
