SUGAR COSMETICS EXPANDS RETAIL FOOTPRINT IN INDIA WITH THE LAUNCH OF ITS EXCLUSIVE STORE IN HYDERABAD

Hyderabad, 4th October 2019: With an aggressive plan to expand its retail footprint, SUGAR Cosmetics announced the launch of its first exclusive store in the City of Pearls, Hyderabad. The 454 sq.ft. store, located in one of India’s largest malls - the Sarath City Capital Mall will house a plethora of makeup & beauty products in a specially-curated brick and mortar experience.
With the launch of its second exclusive brand outlet (EBO) in South India, after Bengaluru, SUGAR Cosmetics, has had a phenomenal growth of 777% in the retail ecosystem in the last financial year. Apart from retail growth, the cult-favourite makeup brand has also expanded its product SKU which currently stands at 350+. The Hyderabad store is divided into two main areas – the makeup station and the product display section. The visual merchandise has been appropriately placed to showcase SUGAR’s clutter-breaking low-poly artwork inclusive of the vast range of foundations, lipsticks and the brand’s marketing communication, wherever necessary.
Speaking at the launch, Vineeta Singh, CEO, SUGAR Cosmetics said, “We began our retail journey into Modern Trade by launching our first shop-in-shop here at Hyderabad. After the roaring welcome from this southern Indian city, I am ecstatic about coming back to this beautiful city to launch our Exclusive Brand Outlet. This is our 4th exclusive store in India apart from the rest 800+ self-operated kiosks, general trade stores and shop-in-shop in channel partners like Lifestyle, Shoppers Stop, Health & Glow, Project Eve etc. We aim to open 1000 brick and mortar stores by the end of this year which will bring us a step closer to our audience and help them to swatch, feel and try all SUGAR products. Apart from India, we have also begun to captivate the international market with an in-store presence in Russia. In such a short span of time, we have also bagged two prestigious awards for our retail expansion which is enthralling for the brand and are hoping for many more such wins.”
