Footie First proud to emerge champions

Mumbai, May 3: Footie First FC having tasted success are now all excited and eagerly awaiting to receive the Third Division title which will be presented to them during the MDFA Awards Night function to be held at the Cooperage ground on Saturday evening.

It will be a proud moment for the entire team which was formed in 2016 and has made rapid strides in Mumbai football and in just a couple of seasons have emerged champions which is the perfect icing on the cake.

The triumph was no small achievement considering the fact that 96 teams were vying for the title. It is all more commendable since Footie First FC, which basically consists of youngsters from their academy was competing with bigger and more experienced clubs in the MDFA League and they still managed to come out trumps.

The main aspect of  their success is because of the strong and dedicated grassroot program they follow. The grooming of youngsters have borne fruit and paid rich dividends.

Footie First is not prepared to rest on their laurels and instead is keen to further develop their team to compete in the Second Division from next season.
