Sukoon Rajani – once a tomboy, now a glam girl – has had quite a journey to opening up her own Salon. Her first stop, after studying at the HR College of Commerce, was to evolve her outlook on style and design. She began her career working with in fashion and soon evolved into fitness in the early years of her career. Over time, self-reflection and a versatile work experience lead her into make-up and beauty, which is where she trained extensively and eventually worked at M.A.C. before deciding to start her own beauty venture in Bombay. While there were many salons offering hair and personal services, she discovered a clear need-gap for look design which is when she settled on the USP and brand, Beauty and
the Blowout – a salon offering beauty services from hair, make-up and nails to everyday pampering treats like massages and manicures. It was the perfect niche offering within the most niche part of town – Altamount Road.
