These fairs witnessed more than 3000 visitors pan India and served as a great opportunity for students & parents to connect with representatives of leading 20 Irish higher education institutions and discuss their queries related to admissions, programmes available, intakes, offer acceptance, campus life, international student support, and more.
Mr. Barry O’Driscoll, Senior Education Adviser, Education in Ireland said, "Education in Ireland conducts these fairs as an orientation programmes for keen students, with 20 Irish institutes available under one roof students & parents got the chance to meet with experts across divisions in the education sector and provided a boarder purview of the education system and career latitude in Ireland”
A key advantage of studying in Ireland is that students can avail of up to two years ‘stay-back’ option after completing their course, at postgraduate level. This guarantees students the opportunity to remain in Ireland for a period of one year to seek employment in dynamic sectors such as ICT, biopharma, engineering, medical devices, food science and financial services. The possibility of gaining valuable post-study work experience, makes Ireland a very compelling option for the Indian students. With over 1,000 multinationals based in Ireland, the country offers exciting career opportunities for talented graduates.
“The most popular courses in Ireland amongst Indian students have included mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, biotechnology, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cyber security, accounting / finance and MBA.  Also there is a notable increased level of interest in courses such as media, design, arts, social sciences, hospitality and hotel management.”adds Mr. O'Driscroll
One of the major reasons why Indian students are heading to Ireland is a host of scholarships that are offered by education institutions. Today, over 200 scholarships are available for aspiring Indian students at higher level either undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
India has always invested in education with a strong sense of the ROI- which in simple terms means the career boost against their graduation. In this matter Ireland has time and again proved its track record and has seen a notable growth of 86% in international student exports in Ireland.
The country also offers a buzzing, multicultural society where students will certainly find the highest of education standards and warmest of welcomes and is well known as being a safe, welcoming society.
Education in Ireland would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to all the participated universities and visitors for the successful fairs.
