“Exploring the story opportunity on World Health Day”

Considering the sudden spike in the number of Covid cases across the country, it has become vital for the various MNCs & conglomerates to efficiently allocate their CSR resources towards the health sector. No matter how developed a country is, there is not a single medical structure across the world which is capable of handling a nation with over one billion residents. Hence, to ensure the safety of the people of our nation, it is vital for companies to come up with CSR interventions that are solely dedicated to the Health Sector. This will not only help people to have better access to medical facilities but will also aid in providing a significant boost to our Health & Welfare sector. It is important for all of us to come up with interventions to ensure the development of India's Health Sector because only a collective endeavour can help us to achieve true economic and social progress”. Ms. Romira Roy, Founder & Chairperson SEED

“On this International World Health Day, I would like to point out the significant impact of sports and fitness in our life and on our mental health. It is widely considered that both, fitness & sports are two factors which are intertwined with each other. Scientific studies suggest that being associated with sports not only helps us to stay fit but also helps us to tackle diseases such as cholesterol, cancer, and so on. Apart from all these, sports can also be extremely helpful in tackling mental issues such as depression, anxiety, and many more. Our nation's goal of ensuring healthy lives & promoting well-being for all can be achieved by introducing sports in people's lives as an ineludible activity rather than just considering it as a means of entertainment.” Mr. Arun Pandey, Chairman & MD, Rhiti Sports

“In our country especially in the rural parts of India, women are often exposed to various ailments due to   malnutrition and lack of maternal health. Diseases like AIDS, breast cancer and many more seem to be prevalent amongst the Indian women. To tackle these issues, all the 17 chapters of FLO pan India took up  initiatives like 'SAMBHAV’, 'Think Pink', etc. The aim of these initiatives is to improve the conditions of women especially concerning to their health. There are various ongoing campaigns organised by FLO Chapters  for spreading awareness about breast cancer, cervical cancer & oral cancer, sensitizing women on personal & menstrual hygiene, online yoga sessions, medical screening & eye check-up camps etc for women. Only if we ensure proper health & well-being for women we can truly achieve sustainable growth & development”. Ms Jahnabi Phookan, National President, FICCI FLO
