Government initiatives expected to increase preference and adoption of e-Healthcare models in 2021: Ayush Mishra

Government initiatives such as the National Digital Health mission (NDHM) are expected to increase preference and adoption of e-Healthcare models in 2021 and improve the current scenario of the healthcare industry. More private players are expected to enter the domain after witnessing its impressive growth in the times of pandemic and invest accordingly, stated Ayush Mishra, Founder and CEO, Tattvan e-clinics.
Tattvan is India’s first-of-its-kind telemedicine company that established a widespread telemedicine business with its ‘brick & mortar’ model to provide medical diagnosis, prompt cure, right guidance, and best consultancy to the people of the Tier-2, Tier 3  and Tier 4 cities and small towns.
“We believe that telemedicine sector has proven its mettle and is here to stay and expect that post pandemic too around 40-50 per cent of their OPD is going to continue to be through tele-consultation altogether with other innovations in the industry including AI, ML, Tele-mobile operator services, etc,” added Mishra.
Mishra added, "Covid-19 pandemic has been an awakening moment for the entire healthcare industry and accelerated the adoption of digital health and virtual care forward. The healthcare industry has fast-forwarded in areas such as telemedicine, remote monitoring, and artificial intelligence to revolutionise the healthcare system with quality and convenient care for patients. Telemedicine is becoming one of the most convenient tools to provide advanced healthcare facilities to people living in tier-2, tier-3 and tier -4 cities and bridging the healthcare gap between rural and urban India. However, the rapid growth driven by increased digitalisation raised challenges to patient's data privacy and prescription substitution, which required an immediate need for a strong regulatory framework in the interest of patients and consumers.
Tattvan is also all set to expand its presence in major districts of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Tattvan will launch its new e-clinics in districts of Kairakat, Balrampur, Phoolpur, Sonbhadraand Banaras in Uttar Pradesh and in Malsisar district in Rajasthan.
The idea behind this expansion drive is to facilitate multi-specialty level healthcare opinion accessible to the people residing in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, small towns and other rural areas. Residents can access the comprehensive and holistic healthcare solutions from the comfort of their hometowns, without having to travel anywhere, including teleconsultations and primary to advanced healthcare.
“The launch of every new Tattvan e-clinic takes us one step closer to fulfilling our aim of primary health care coverage across tier-2 and tier-3 cities and rural India. We at Tattvan are focused on advanced care teleconsultations and second medical opinion concentrating on small cities and parts of rural India. The idea is to enable the patient and his family to avail the advance care opinion from the best of the specialist across the country from the comfort of their homes without having to travel across the big cities and waiting in que for the appointments. It allows for better patient care, and provides logistic comfort to the patient’s family as well. The patient can then comfortably move to the big city for the in-person treatment only and if required saving time in travel and spending more time in quality care,” Mishra said.
Tattvan’s telemedicine healthcare clinics aim to connect some of the world’s best medical care to remote locations most in need of quality healthcare.
