Bachchan’s Along With Many Other B’Town Celebrities Came Together To Celebrate Silver Jubilee Celebration Of Summer Funk

18^th May 2019, Mumbai: In a time when dance held a limited definition, ShiamakDavar took upon himself the task to expand the horizon and create a platform for dance enthusiasts to express themselves. A movement that started with a motto, “Have Feet. Will Dance” today marked completion of its beautiful 25 years.

Several Bollywood A’listers like Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek &AishwaryaBachchan, Shweta Bachchan, Ruslaan Mumtaz amongst many others graced the occasion at St. Andrew’s, Bandra. Thegrandcelebrationendedwitha25^thbirthdaycakecuttingbyAceChoreographerandaDanceGuru,ShiamakDavaralong with Aishwarya, Abhishek, AaradhyaBachchan andShiamak'steam.

Summers have become synonymous with this workshop. Over a period of 25 years, the show has taken the shape of various themes and concepts. It’s a platform that has changed people's lives forever. This year’s show encapsulated Shiamak’s journey, his struggles, spiritual calling, his mission and its global appeal through various dance acts. Like every year, many celebrity students like AaradhyaBachan, Jahaan Kapoor, amongst others were witnessed shaking a leg with dance enthusiasts.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. ShiamakDavar said, “I would like to thank  each one of you who have been a part of this beautiful journey. Summer Funk stage has been home to many stars. It is the most special part of SDIPA and a unique opportunity for students across age group of four to eighty four years can learn the technique of Shiamak Style, cool moves of Hip Hop and the trademark Bollywood Jazz. It is a dream that began in a studio with seven students is today a global phenomenon. Summer Funk is a stage that makes dreams come true. In fact, many stars were born on this very stage. Likes of Sushant Singh Rajput, Sonakshi Sinha, VarunDhawan, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, IshaanKhattar amongst many others have been a part of the show. It is a very proud moment for me to see a mission that started off with ‘Have Feet. Will Dance’ has now extended to ‘Have Spirit, Will Triumph.’

25 is a tribute to his spirit of making dreams come true, creating milestones, making memories and creating a community where everyone speaks the language of dance.
