Zee Telugu is all set to make your weekend special with the blockbuster movie Manikarnika. The film starring Kangana Ranuat as Jhansi Laxmi Bai will be telecasted on Sunday, May 26th at 3:00 PM exclusively on Zee Telugu and Zee Telugu HD.
The story of Manikarnika is about the Queen of Jhansi is a biographical account of how Rani Laxmibai waged a war against the East India Company. The narrative takes us through the internal struggle with Jhansi’s royal family while unraveling important historical events during the 1800s. It chronicles the journey of Manikarnika from her birth place Bithoor, to becoming the Rani of Jhansi and eventually turning into a warrior Queen who sacrificed her life for the nation.
The film is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Kangana Ranuat who has donned the Director’s hat for the first time. The cinema is produced by Zee Studios, Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti, while the music has been scored by Shankar – Ehsan -- Loy.
