B6*EK Partial Codeshare Suspension

Due to the Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) airspace restrictions over Iran that prohibit U.S. flight/codeshare flight operations, a selection of JetBlue “B6*” codeshare flights, operated by Emirates “EK”, were originally suspended beginning on 24 July  2019 until 30 September 2019. This suspension has now been extended UNTIL January 28, 2020. Impacted codeshare flights and fares are being removed from the GDS and travellers will need alternate routings. For travel until 28 January 2020, travel agents are requested to service PNRs and tickets as per below mentioned guidelines. Waiver code to be used for affected tickets : B6EKIRAN19 Impacted codeshare flights originate or terminate in: DFW, FLL, IAH, LAX, MCO, ORD, SEA and SFO Flights not impacted: BOS, EWR, JFK and IAD For travel until 28 January 2020, travel agents should : Rebook onto the same Emirates "EK" operating flight number associated with the JetBlue "B6" codeshare flight. Notes : Rebook LOWEST available Emirates fare class in the same cabin. Cabin upgrades are not permitted. Process as a Schedule Change ticket reissue On the INVOL ticket reissue,use waiver code in the tour code box: B6EKIRAN19.       2. Opt for a refund Notes : On Refund, use waiver code in tour code box: B6EKIRAN19 Fly America Act Compliant **If ticketed using a government fare basis code: YCA, MCA, DCB, KMZ, MMZ, CMZ, EDG, CDG** Booking Agent should: 1. Rebook alternate routing where available that remains on JetBlue “B6” flight numbers across the journey via a connection in New York-JFK, Newark-EWR or Boston-BOS. This is necessary because travelers under the Fly America Act cannot fly under “EK” flight numbers (operating flight). Notes: Rebook new flights in the LOWEST available Emirates fare class in the same cabin. Cabin upgrades are not permitted. Process a Schedule Change ticket reissue. Use waiver code in the tour code box: B6EKIRAN19 2. Opt for a refund. Notes: Travelers under the Fly America Act cannot fly under “EK” flight numbers (operating flight).
