Indian Anime Movement - IAM (https://www.instagram.com/indian.anime.movement) for the absolute first time in quite a while made it workable for India and it’s crowd to have the option to see Japan’s blockbuster romantic Drama “Weathering With You”. The first-ever anime movie "Weathering with You" is a huge hit in Japan with nearly $100 million, and one of the Japans blockbuster movie ever. The movie is from Makoto Shinkai, the director of "You Name”, which is japans highest-grossing animated movie ever with $235 million.  

The petition was created in April’ 2019 around Animated movie picture screening in India. The Indian Anime Movement, an activity led by Mr. Shubham Sharmaalongside his team of Anime Youtubers and creative makers. The petitioners understood that there is a great deal of Indian anime fans that are left unnoticed by The Animation Companies, this is the reason the greater part of the anime isn't even accessible in the nation which brought about beginning an appeal to bring this film “Weathering With You" to India.

Our vision is to bring animated movies and series throughout the globe to come to India without signing any more petitions. So, instead of signing petitions for each movie or series, we came up with one last petition to bring anime to India. Also, we are extremely thankful to each anime fan from India who signed the petition and made it possible”.

It was only possible when Team IAM did their best to spread awareness, by using the hashtags #indiawantsanime campaign, getting the posters of #Indiawantsanimeprinted and reaching out to a tee shirt printing company, Comic Sense for getting their tees of #indiawantsanime printed and then distributing the tees in the streets of Delhi to spread awareness. Signing the petition was obviously because the anime fans wanted the movie in India. The movie is coming to India because The Officials (PVR, Vkaao) noticed our petition getting signed by over 50,000+ people.
