Coimbatore, September 02, 2019: JK Tyre Suzuki Gixxer Cup 2019 concluded the Round 2 of the championship at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore with thrilling and jaw dropping moments. Pune’s Tanay Gaikwad clinched the No.1 position proving to be a competitive participant in the championship and gave a strong competition to the fellow challengers. In Red Bull Road to Rookies Cup, Ikshan Shanbag from Satara took a lead in both the races to grab the winner’s trophy.
For Race 1 of JK Tyre Suzuki Gixxer Cup 2019, Tanay Gaikwad (10:07.050) touched the finish line first followed by Bangalore’s Syed Muzamil Ali (10:07.119) and Coimbatore’s Sidharth Sajan (10:15.558) finishing at second and third positions respectively. In the 7 laps race, Tanay Gaikwad stole the No.1 position with a mere lead of 0.069 milliseconds from Syed Muzamil Ali.
Race 2 had a trailblazing start as Tanay Gaikwad continued to rule the track by completing 10 laps in 14:18.573 time in an exhilarating manner. Just a hairline behind was Syed Muzamil Ali finishing at 14:18.641 who got placed second while Shazan Khan (14:32.567) from Bangalore bagged the third spot.
Meanwhile, Red Bull Road to Rookies Cup proved to be a thrilling affair with Ikshan Shanbag (10:35.841) completely dominating the tarmac with exuberant energy and flair. While, Bangalore’s Aditi Krishnan gave an aggressive chase and took second position with a stunning total lap time of 10:51.180. Proving his worth on the track and securing the third place on the podium was Pune’s Aryan Gurav completing 7 laps in 10:53.688 time.
It was a similar winning streak in Race 2 as Ikshan Shanbag (14:56:415) claimed victory after battling hard with Aditi Krishnan (15:20.919) for 10 laps and came out ahead of the other participants. Aryan Gurav (15:23.780) followed Aditi Krishnan finishing at No. 3 position on podium.
The JK Tyre Suzuki Gixxer Cup has provided the much-needed platform to young motorsports enthusiasts for the last four years. Every year the championship is organized under the aegis of FIM and Federation of Motorsports Club of India (FMSCI), in association with JK Tyre Motorsports.

Ever since Suzuki Motorcycle India launched the Suzuki Gixxer Cup in 2015, it evolved into a brilliant platform for the budding racers in India and a spectacular racing championship. In addition to laying the foundations for Suzuki’s global racing heritage in India, the Suzuki Gixxer Cup has brought class-leading motorcycle racing infrastructure to the local talent at a fractional cost.
