Mumbai 5^th 2019: Rajmahal Banquets & Thinking Mantra brought the Live Silent Garba concept this Navratri for Mumbaikars!  This year going a step ahead, a new soundproof studio booth was introduced which made way for live singing by celebrity singers at the midnight hour, without breaking any noise pollution rules. Mumbai has stringent rules against sound pollution but while supporting these rules, the event Live Silent Garba 2.0 saw hundreds of Mumbaikars grooving to the beats of catchy tunes while keeping their headphones on albeit sans deafening loudspeakers in the background. Day 1 of the 3day festival saw none other than Garba Duo Preeti Pinky performing in the booth for the garba lovers. The crowd grooved to their popular tracks and danced the night away.

Tejas Tawde of Thinking Mantra, an integrated marketing solutions organization said, “The new concept is a challenge that we took up wholeheartedly to bring in a new experience for the people in the city to enjoy Garba and dandiya in a non-restricting yet traditionally rich manner. We have popular Garba performers and Bollywood singers who will be performing at the 3-day event”. Aboli Anand, Director, Rajmahal Banquets further added "The idea was to cut down on noise pollution after 10:30 PM, so that the citizens can peacefully go to bed while the zestful ones can go on grooving to the Garba music late in the night or until their feet are sore".

Garba Duo Preeti & Pinky who performed on Day 1 of Silent Garba 2.0 shared, "We were a part of Silent Garba as a concept for the first time, and I must say it's a completely different experience. When we were invited to perform at Silent Garba 2.0, we were curious about it. And now after spending time here with the crowd, we are in love with it. The concept executed by the organizers of Live Silent Garba is here to stay. The energy of the crowd, the rhythm of dancing is similar to a live show and we hope to do a longer session next year."

The headphones used at Silent Garba 2.0 have three channels to choose from, each having a different genre of music that they would can dance to. The sound channels will have music from Traditional Garba, Bollywood Tracks and Live Garba Performance.  Ram Kesarwani from Silent Equipment Rental shares, "These headphones are specially designed for all age groups, as the sound emission is controlled in such a way that it doesn't harm even if the person is using it for a long time".
