The most favorable branch for the aspirants this year is the medicine branch
April 2021: The coronavirus pandemic already had a devastating impact on the academic calendar. Further to that there have been many delays and increase in uncertainty related to all competitive examinations like NEET, JEE, etc.
Conducted by NBE, NEET PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post-Graduation) is the national level exam for admission to various MD (Doctor of Medicine)/MS (Master in Surgery) and PG Diploma courses across the country. NEET PG is a highly competitive exam. The preparation of this exam demands a comprehensive study of all 19 subjects which an MBBS Student studies during his graduation.
The NEET PG examination is scheduled to be held on April 18, 2021.
The online survey of approximately 2000 aspirants was conducted by Career Xpert. The survey revealed that 24% of aspirants are inclined towards Medicine branch, 17% towards Dermatology, 15% opted for Radiology, 11% for Surgery, 10% OBS and Gynae, 8% Pediatrics, 6% Respiratory Medicine, 5% Orthopedic, 2% Ophthalmology and 2% ENT. Hence, from this survey, it was concluded that for almost 24% of aspirants Medicine branch is among the most favorable branches.
Commenting on the same, Gaurav Tyagi, Founder - Career Xpert said, “We conducted an online survey of approximately 2000 aspirants in which we found that for 24% aspirants Medicine branch is among the most favorable branches. And when it comes to the preference of colleges, government colleges are the first choice for most of them. But for few aspirants securing a year is more important hence they can pursue PG from anywhere either private or government college.”
